The goal of this project was to create a new Urban Environmental and Ecological Center. The Center greatly enhances the mission of the Conservancy. It provides education, training and support for the creation of environmentally safe neighborhoods by offering horticultural and environmental education programs and activities for children and families and a Greening program for the community at large.
SHA was the main liaison on behalf of the Owner between the design, construction teams and governmental agencies.The project included the restoration of the state’s second oldest surviving synagogue, which is a historic landmark, and was carried out using a public/private initiative.
