Project: The Enid A. Haupt Conservatory

This project required the complete rehabilitation of the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory (built in 1900), which was designed by Lord & Burnham. This New York City landmark was renovated including the following work: the complete re-glazing of the greenhouses, computerized operations for windows and venting energy management and misting systems, and exhibition design and installation. A completely new exhibitions design was phased into the completion of the construction work. The project included a large lead paint containment contract and was carried out using a public/private initiative.
The Conservatory is considered the grandest in the U.S.A.
